Positive Space is generally what people would view as the subject.
Negative Space is generally what people would view as the background.
Don't focus on the color. Negative space doesn't always have to be black
and Positive space doesn't have to be white. It's more about what you perceive to be the subject (positive) and what you perceive to be the background (negative).
In this assignment, you will be creating a symbol that blurs the defined positive and negative space.
Instructions:
Choose a metaphor. Use the list below or pick one of your own.
In a new 6x6 document at 300ppi, create a symbol that blurs the defined positive and negative space.
- Use only silhouettes (flat, solid color shapes).
- Use only black and white
- Only use the pen tool.
- You can add the text as an option, but it is not requred.
