Newsletters - Mastheads

This is one part of your newsletter that you can get really creative with. Think about your readers!

Requirements:

1. Make sure your masthead is at 51 picas by 14 picas at 300ppi.
2. SET UP GUIDES to create your safe zone at 1/2 of an inch from the top, left, and right edge of your masthead.
3. You will need to add Vol. 12, Issue 4, April 2015 to your masthead design.  
4. Visual appealing -- a color scheme, blending modes, multiple layers, image adjustments
5. Get creative. Think about your readers. This is the most interesting thing that will be on your newsletter. The rest will just be paragraphs of text.

Benchmarks:

• You must show a balanced design. Balance does not mean everything has to be centered, but try to distribute the "weights" of your design elements evenly.
• You must successfully show your knowledge of Photoshop
• You must do something creative with your type -- something interesting.
