Helvetica vs. Arial

Helvetica is arguably one of the most ubiquitous (present, appearing, found everywhere) typefaces in our modern age. Microsoft wanted to include Helvetica with Windows but didn't want to pay licensing fees for the real Helvetica. Microsoft's solution? Create a font that looks exactly like Helvetica and call it Arial. Here is the word HELVETICA in the Arial typeface in red and the word HELVETICA in the Helvetica typeface directly on top in blue.
