InDesign Trial (Mass Art Poster)
Due: September 29. 2014
Because this is an InDesign document, follow these instructions to p4repare your file:
- Open your InDesign document and go to File>Package. You will receive a pop-up message that says "Possible problems were detected..." Click on "View Info." Look at the summary portion and check out what possible problems InDesign has detected. If the only problem is that one or more of your files uses RGB color space, then proceed to step 2. If you receive this message because you have any number of links Missing or Modified, click CANCEL then go to your links palette (Window>Links.) Look for the link(s) that has either a red stop sign (indicating a missing link) or a yellow caution symbol (indicating a link that needs to be updated). Double click on each link that has an issue and relink those files. You must fix your links before continuing. After, go to File>Package again, click "View Info," verify all of your links, and click "Package."
- On the next pop-up (Printing Instructions), just click "Continue."
- The next pop-up will ask you to create a package folder. Title your package folder with your username, underscore, newsletter and save it to your desktop. An example of the title would be kennedyjo16_massart. Save the package folder to your desktop.
- You may receive a "Warning" message which is basically letting you know that things that you are collecting for your package might be copyrighted. That is ok. We are not making money from this. You are only collecting these items to send to me for a grade. Click "OK."
- At this point, InDesign will collect your newsletter document along with all of your images and fonts used. It will create a folder on your desktop that contains all of these items.
- Send me this folder
