Before you start, get Photoshop into your dock at the bottom of your screen. Go to your Applications folder, find the blue Photoshop folder, OPEN IT, find the square photoshop application and drag it to your dock. Do NOT drag Photoshop (or any program) to your desktop.
In Photoshop, remember to close any palettes that you don't need. Then, open your most-used palettes by going to the Window menu at the top of your screen. Your most-used palettes will be: Layers, Options, Tools, History, & Character.
Then:
- Download the Fonts and Images folder that are attached in Google Classroom.
- In Photoshop, Open a 9x9 document at 300ppi
- You will need to make each picture a 3"x3" square. Make sure you do not stretch or squish the images.
Things that might help you:- The move tool and the "show transform controls" option
- The rectangular marquee tool
- Select > Inverse
- Arrange the photos so they are in a square grid. The order does not matter.
You could use any of the following things to help you:- Your Rulers
- Guides pulled out from Rulers
- Your Alignment and Distribution buttons via the Move Tool
- Put the center image at 20% opacity
- Install the font "Honey Badger"
- Use your text tool to make a text box and type the words THESE ARE FOOTBALL PHOTOS over the center picture. Use the following settings:
- Honey Badger font
- Size: 40
- Leading: 36
- Use your alignment tool to give your text a center alignment.
- You must create alleyways, also called gutters, in between your pictures. In the example, the gutters are white. Use any method you wish to create gutters in between your pictures. They should all be the same size.
