Designed by OneSavesSolution, this 3D-printed chess set is designed around the names of the classic game’s pieces.
The bodies of the pieces—namely King, Queen, Bishop, Knight and Pawn—spell out the names in a quirky, “squashed up” font.
The words are then topped with a more traditional depiction of these key players—for instance, the King sports a crown, while the Knight is represented by a horse’s head.
A great gift for both typography and chess lovers, the Typographical Chess Set is now available on 3D-printing retail site Shapeways—it comes in a range of colors and materials that have to be ordered separately.
