A Song of Fire and Ice (also known as Game of Thrones):

Westeros Scenery Recreated in Minecraft

No big deal. Just the entire continent of Westeros from A Song of Fire and Ice created in Minecraft. This impressive build was created by Jacob Granberry and Will Blew and incorporates a bit of art direction from the HBO series as well as some of their own ideas.

Pencil Shaving Art

(who knew?)

Using an object as basic as a pencil shaving, artist Marta Altés created these clever, yet simple, drawings in which ink figures interact with colorful and textured pencil remnants. By repurposing the shavings, the artist transformed objects that others see as trash into beautiful and integral elements within each piece, including butterfly wings, a ballet tutu, and a lion's mane. It's incredible how many different ways she has morphed her doodles into these adorable drawings, with just these delicate scraps.

Street Artist Creates Life-Sized Monopoly on the Streets of Chicago

The Chance and Community Chest Cards, painted yellow to match the game version, are made of plywood and are printed with obscure and comical messages- ‘Go To Jail for Public Doubucery’ is printed on one while another reads ‘Carissa, Will You Marry Me? If yes, advance one block south to nearest church.’ The messages on the cards are periodically changed, keeping the ‘game’ interesting and interactive. Bored says of the game, "The goal of this entire project has been to present something different than a stencil painted on the ground or a poster pasted to a wall. Something 3-dimensional that can be picked up, beaten down, kicked, yanked, grabbed, and broken. And if someone ever put forth the effort to remove it, like a weed it will always grow back. And if left alone it will evolve into something different."
